Watershed Photo Contest

Instinctive Art Studio I have been selected to show some of my Photography for the "Watershed Center of Grand Traverse Bay" !!!!!! I'm really excited to have my work in the show and looking forward to seeing the whole show. Which will be work of at least 12 photographers who entered the show with landscape photos of the Grand Traverse Watershed Area. So the pics will be from all over our beautiful area. I'm wondering if... any of the people showing are from other places? I do know that the group is mixed ages. There is going to be a calendar printed with many of the images and will be for sale at the watershed. I don't know if it will be ready by the shows opening on December 1st. I hope so! I am going to have a month in the calendar. This show will also be a fundraiser for the Watershed. I will put more info out closer to the show. Please consider coming and supporting the Watershed and the artist community.

Art Beat, October 1st, Elk Rapids, Michigan

If you get a chance come to Elk Rapids tomorrow for "Art Beat". This promises to be an exciting day with 5 area galleries celebrating the arts. The event will include guest artists (I'll be one of them), community art, refreshments and more. Come on out to ER tomorrow, Saturday October 1st.

Water Lily Pic - Chicago Botanic Gardens

I love photographing the Chicago Botanic Gardens when we're in town visiting family. This was my favorite flower on this last trip. What a beautiful flower. It is so hard to leave the water gardens.

Showing Work at "Viola Gallery"

Bellwether Gardens show was beautiul we had 100's of visitors. Thank you to everyone who came out in the Hot weather to view and purchase our work. Now I've taken Art Quilts up to the "Viola Gallery" in downtown Elk Rapids, Michigan. The gallery is an amazing place. They will handle my art quilts, watercolor print cards and felted work. Art Quilt Show at Bellwether Gardens

I've been working on Art Quilts for the show at Bellwether Gardens. I belong to a group called Silvertree Art Quilters and we are putting together a show and sale that will be in the gardens on July 16th and 17th. Look at my website for all info Instinctiveartstudio.com. Our group met at Bellwether a couple weeks ago to start putting together the display plan. Gail, the owner had her art quilts out in one of the many beautiful gardens to give us an idea of how beautiful this show is going to be! Addmission is free.

Wool Dying

During the week of March 7th thru 11th Instinctive Art Studio was turned into a Wool Dying factory. Tomorrow a couple ladies and I will be doing a test felting project that we will be incorporating into a Movement, Sound, and Art workshop that we will be hosting at Instinctive Art Studio on May 1st. This is a picture of some of the wool drying on racks. I'll post a picture of what we come up with for the workshop project.
